feist_07_1920Feist is a game where you play as little critters in a forest with black silhouettes against a very colorful background. Think Limbo but isn’t monochrome!

The game is a 2D platformer, one of the best in its genre actually. Catching flies to shoot darts at enemies is actually an interesting choice and it worked out in their favor. Jumping from one tree to another is really fluid and solving the puzzles, while challenging at times, are extremely stress relieving when you solve them. Pair this all with Feist’s insanely stunning visuals and crazy powerful and moody soundtrack make the game oh so better!

But the game isn’t all so great in some parts. There’s worms that pop out of the ground and shoot darts that aren’t really fun to deal with. They’re just utterly annoying but once you get passed them the game is back to great.

feist_01_1920This game is about wildlife, so it’s kinda disappointing to not see other animals fighting each other or interacting with other creatures.

All in all despite some issues I had with the game, Feist is a must buy. I honestly can’t wait to see more from Bits & Beasts!
