Skyrim PS4 Pro Review

First thing I’d like to say is this wont be a full review, I don’t like to spoil the story in my reviews also this game has been out since November 11, 2011. What I’m going to be covering in my review is the graphics and mods.  Now that I got that out of the way, let’s get started!

The world of Skyrim looks absolutely astonishing, from the new and enhanced textures to the beautiful flora, Bethesda has truly done a fantastic job. They reworked the lighting systems and added in god rays, volumetric lighting and so much more, it’s quite incredible. That together with Native 4k just makes the game lifelike. I can’t put into words on how incredible the game looks; it’s like jumping from a PS3 or 360 to a PS4 all over again, that’s the type of leap I’m talking about. Personally I think Bethesda has done a great job on the graphics and looks to me like a current gen game, if I didn’t know what Skyrim was I wouldn’t have known it was a last gen title playing on PS4 Pro at 4k.

Now onto mods, I do want to say quickly I have seen the mods for the Xbox One version and they’re far better than the PS4 version. The PS4 version for Skyrim mods are a let down and there is only a few worth getting on PS4. If you like getting trophies I would not bother downloading any mods, if you do you wont be able to get trophies. Xbox One on the other hand has a lot of mods that are probably worth checking out. Still I must say that some mods are better than no mods so I really can’t complain. Also all the DLC is added and that is great too.

Okay so overall I really love Skyrim, it was a fantastic game when I played it 4-5yrs ago and it feels like an even better game now with the improved graphics, 4k, and mods. If you’ve played Skyrim before and loved it you should definitely pick it up again! However that being said if you have played it before you may want to wait until the game drops in price to at least $40. I don’t think it’s worth a full $60 if you’ve played it before. If you have never played I certainly recommend you pick it up ASAP. It’s worth the full $60 if you have never played it before, Skyrim will offer you hundreds upon hundreds of hours of gameplay! I’ll be giving Skyrim a score of 10/10. Fantastic job Bethesda, you never fail to deliver an amazing game!
