Welcome to the hard and brutal world of Ninja Spinki! What brings me, a PlayStation gamer to review an iOS game that isn’t Sony related? Well, this is because it’s by the same dude who made Flappy Bird, yes, he’s back!

The controls are simple. Slide your character across the map and don’t touch the bombs, move left or right and not be crushed by fruit, or throw ninja stars at cardboard ninjas. Seems easy enough, right? Well, it sure ain’t. Your little ninja even with the slightest swipe FLIES across the app, he’s literally Sonic at points where he goes at insane speeds for no reason.

Graphically the game is beyond simple. It’s actually quite gorgeous with the easy style the game shows off. Sadly, the one massive downfall is resolution. The developer seems to only support resolutions up to 1136×640 (iPhone SE resolution). What I don’t understand is why because the game does support iPhone 7.

One thing is, DON’T turn on the sound. It’ll drive you absolutely crazy with its basic 8-bit style sounds and its very annoying movement sounds.

There’s only 30 levels, which I think is a good thing because if there was any more I think I might have a broken phone.

All in all, Ninja Spinki is one crazy ass game. From the simple controls to the strangely low resolution, this game is a blast.

Score: 9/10

Reviewed on iPhone 7 and iPad Pro
