Hey Capcom, Where is Deep Down?

In February 2013, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Capcom announced a Free to Play RPG Deep Down. It takes place in New York City in 2094. When you touch magical artifacts, players are transported into the past where you explore dungeons and battle (or avoid) monsters to get treasures. Each dungeons are randomly generated too, as well as the artifacts. That sounds awesome as hell, doesn’t it? Well, it’s November 2016 and it still doesn’t have a date. There’s been 4 betas that never actually hit, just delayed. In early 2015 with an interview for 4gamer, Kazunori Sugiura stated that the game has expanded past it’s 2013 vision to better suit long term players, so the game has been pushed back. About a year later from absolute silence about the game, Capcom had renewed the trademark indicating that the IP is still going. Keep in mind, by February 2017 is when they’d have to release the game or they will have to change that the name of the game since they’ll lose the trademark due to funding unless Sony steps in. Rumors are going around that despite absolute silence for months that it will release this year, with a date at the PSX conference. We’ll see what happens, as far as we know it’s still exclusive to PS4 thanks to a partnership, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it slithered its way to PC to make more money after all this time. Please let this game release Capcom, it looked awesome back in 2013, I know y’all can deliver something truly amazing!
