For Honor open beta coming next week

Ubisoft have announced that their upcoming third person action title For Honor will receive an open beta for PS4, Xbox One and PC beginning February 9 and ending on February 12 before the games February 14 launch.

The beta will include the Duel, Brawl and Dominion as well as a new Elimination mode which was unavailable during last week’s closed beta. Developer Ubisoft Montreal has described Elimination as a “best-of-five series of four-on-four matches with no respawns”. Sounds exciting.

The War of the Factions meta game will also continue from last weeks closed beta, allowing players to choose from Knight, Samurai, or Viking factions vying for control over specific territories with the winning faction reaping rewards after the full games launch.

Prior to the launch of the open beta, Ubisoft have announced it will host a livestream on the official For Honor Twitch channel, where the developers will showcase the progression of the War of the Factions system and the new Elimination mode. Interestingly some big name celebrities will make an appearance on stream including Lauren Cohan, Jason Momoa, Alfie Allen, and Demetrious Johnson. You can tune into the stream on February 7 at 2pm PT/10pm GMT.
For Honor releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 14.
