Kojima-san’s upcoming game, Death Stranding has some… news about a character. Guillermo del Toro apparently has no clue what the story of the game really is, also he’s not involved creatively.
“I’m involved as a character. He’s discussed his ideas so I could understand the character, but other than that I’m not involved, creatively, at all. This is entirely Kojima-san’s game. I think it’s gonna be a fantastic game, 100%. But this is him and his ideas. I’m just a puppet in his hands. My contribution is limited to being a cheerleader for his ideas and being scanned for long hours at a time. That’s about it.” – del Toro while speaking to IGN
Guillermo del Toro is one of 3 big stars in Death Stranding, alongside Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen.
Death Stranding is currently in development exclusively for PS4 by Kojima-san’s new studio Kojima Productions and Kojima Productions Amsterdam using Guerrilla Games’s DECIMA engine.
