Following Titanfall 2 was a brief trailer for Madden 17 which will be available August 23rd.
Next Peter Moore live from london talked about EA’s emphasis on their new events.
-Challanger
-Premiere
-EA Major
Those are the new year round events EA will be hosting with plenty of prizes for winners of competitive tournaments.
Aaryn Flynn from Bioware then came out to talk about Mass Effect: Andromeda. Not much was discussed other than we are told more info is coming this fall about the game. Here is the EA Play video shown:
FIFA 17 got an in depth look into their all new story mode “The Journey” and will be available September 27th.
With the push for a diverse line up EA announced EA Originals. Helping indie studios fund and develop brand new IP from all over the world. From this we got a look into “Fe” a brand new game from a small studio out of Gothenburg. Beautiful style with sort of an Ori and The Blind Forrest feel but seemingly more open and full of exploration.
With the many Star Wars games in production Jade Raymond came out on stage to talk about the upcoming games. While not much info was given we know now that Visceral’s game is a distant 2018 release and that we are getting more Battlefront next year involving the new trilogy. Messaging was unclear weather that was in the form of a solid sequel or adding onto the existing Battlefront platform.
To close out the show Patrick Bach came out to talk Battlefield 1 and it’s dynamic weather and fluid gameplay. Set for an October 21st release date, the franchise sported a very impressive trailer and look into the World War 1 shooter.
Overall the conference felt very underwhelming with glimpses of upcoming games but nothing of real substance.
