Assassin’s Creed Unity Review

Is it time to return to Paris?

I bought Assassin’s Creed Unity when it first came out back in 2014. I even went to the midnight release at my local Gamestop. Now obviously Unity had a terrible launch with bugs and glitches everywhere you looked. But thankfully I didn’t encounter many at the start. When I first played the game, I was in awe of the gorgeous visuals, but that quickly faded away. To me, it was the weakest Assassin’s Creed story I’d played, but it didn’t stop me from progressing. The combat is brutal and satisfying, with using the environment to assassins_creed_unity__combat_twohandedsword_1415412410help execute your enemy. Now you may be wondering why I’m reviewing this game two years later. As stated in a previous article I really enjoy earning trophies and I figured I should just finish up the list on Unity. And playing through the game again, I realized, it may not be a great game, but it’s nowhere close to being a bad game. As mentioned before the combat is great when it works, and the parkour also shines sometimes. Of Course the story can’t really be fixed with patches, and it’s definitely Unity’s biggest problem. The characters, I really didn’t care about at all. Same goes for the plot. Should you buy Assassin’s Creed Unity? I think so, especially with it only going for about $11 on Amazon.
